The nominations for the 29th Annual TEC Awards have been announced, and the Computer Audio Hardware category, where audio interfaces are entered, is going to be quite interesting.
The audio interfaces competing for the coveted shiny trophy (pictured left) cover a wide range of specifications, performance, and price, which I'm sure will make it difficult for those who are voting this year.
The nominees are:
- Antelope Audio's Orion³²
- Apogee Electronics' Symphony 64 | ThunderBridge
- Audient's iD22
- Focusrite's Scarlett 18i20
- Merging Technologies' Horus DSD-DXD Edition
- Universal Audio's Apollo 16
This represents the second year in a row that both Apogee and Universal Audio have been nominated.
Have you forgotten who won the 2013 award? The following video shows the presentation of the award in this category from January this year...
The winners will be announced in a special ceremony at Winter NAMM 2014 which kicks off in Anaheim on January 24.
